Shimmering from the desert of Nevada, Las Vegas is the most dynamic, spectacular city on earth. Las Vegas is situated on the dry desert floor within Clark County. It is a well known major resort city for gambling, entertainment, dining and shopping. CLIMATE The city enjoys abundant sunshine year-round and has about an average of 300 sunshine days a year, with very little rainfall. The summer months of June through September are very hot and mostly dry while winters are of short duration and the season is generally mild. The mountains surrounding Las Vegas accumulate snow during the winter but snow is rare in the Las Vegas Valley itself. TRANSPORTATION There are two types of transportation, public transportation system which is known as RTC Transit.
